My name is Francesca Pastore, I am an artist, painter, sculptor and ceramist who lives in central Italy in the Sabina Mountains, 4km from Cottanello. Here I have my house and studio. I also have 2 independent bungalows that are available for B’n'B rental. My goal is to create an ambient, artistic retreat for visitors to relax and enjoy the beauty of the region.
The Casa d’Artista is one of the stops for the Rieti – Rome route facilitated by On Foot Holidays. After a days walk and picnic in the Sabina mountains guests arrive at Francesca’s and relax with a refreshing beer or wine. As part of the tour package guests receive a dinner of seasonal specialities – featuring fresh pasta, regional olive oil and local wine. A generous breakfast includes yoghurt, bread, jam, butter, tea and coffee. *For those staying overnight with OnFoot walking tours dinner & breakfast is provided in the dining room of the main house.
The two apartments are fully self-contained, have comfortable beds and central heating for winter! There property is nestled in the Sabina mountains on a very large block with no other houses nearby. There is an above ground pool with outdoor seating under large shady trees. Francesca also has her artist studio on the property, ask for a tour. For music lovers there is the possibility of using the upright piano in the main dining room…
CASA ‘SOPRA’ an independent apartment that has 3 bedrooms: a double, 2 singles that can be put together as a double and a third room with bunk beds. Two bathrooms, shower and toilet in each. The living area is fully self-contained with kitchen / dining facilities including a large wood stove, a gas cooker, full size fridge w. freezer, kitchen area, dining table that seats 6 and a couple of arm chairs. One television. Cutlery, pots, pans & linen provided.
CASA ‘SOTTO’ is an independent apartment located on the bottom story of the main house. 2 bedrooms that can be made up with either double or single beds. An extra single bed is available in the main bedroom. One bathroom with shower & toilet. A kitchen, lounge area with fridge, gas cooker, kitchen, sofa (can be made into a sofa bed). One television.
